Robot Comparisons

Welcome to Robot Comparisons. As sure as the computer and the internet continue to become more ubiquitous, intelligent machines will come right along on their coat tails. The earliest robots were from science fiction, and like most emerging technologies, the depiction of robots in early times tend to approximate research and development in the labs, and eventually commercial viability. Eventually as robots become as popular as automobiles, comparison shopping will become a necessary marketing exercise, comparing things like battery life, function, size, shape, friendliness, and resale value.

For now, Robot Comparisons is a general information site for the lay person interested in the robotics. Be sure to check out the interesting articles and videos, and join in on the lively conversations. Thank you for visiting and supporting Robot Comparisons.  Also, please check out the two new sections recently added to Robot Comparisons – “Ask the Experts” for answers to common questions about robots in general, as well as the fast paced z “Blogette”.   :-)       :-)

Human-robot cooperative rope

The two-layered system for control of rhythmic tasks in the first layer extracts the frequency from an arbitrary signal and in the second layer learns and imitates the waveform of the demonstrated signal. This allows us to control of different robotic tasks. Such tasks include swinging of different pendulums, playing with toys (ie yo-yo or gyroscopic device Powerball), synchronizing drumming to an audio signal, human-robot cooperate rope turning or even synchronizing human muscles actions to the robot motion or electrical neuromuscular stimulator activation.
